Dad Vs. Spawn is a website for parents who understand the difficult task that is raising children from the day they are born. You will find stories, art, opinions and more about parenting from the perspective of two hardworking dads.

Watching children grow up and change right before your eyes is many things: amazing, wonderful, scary, fulfilling, inspiring, and countless more. We are obviously not against any of these things, but want to highlight the intrinsic challenges of them, as well as the vast amount of situations that can be involved with raising kids.

There is currently a massive, ongoing revolution of the concept of fatherhood, and what it means to be “the male parent.” Technology has made it possible for dads to communicate with one another in more ways than ever, and to transcend the stereotypes that have labeled our forefathers. We are ready to evolve as parents and to invite other dads to join us as we do so.

Dad Vs. Spawn was created by two Dads who are not only ready to take on the challenges of fatherhood, but also to help put to rest the myths and falsehoods that dads are somehow the lesser parent… and to have a good time doing it, too, which is something we excel at, to be honest with you.

What you will not find here are excuses about why dads can’t do one thing or another, or false beliefs that one sex is superior over the other when it comes to parenting. The truth is that raising children is hard work for anybody, and will always be simplified by the presence of two caring and diligent parents.

What you will find here is the resultant effort of two dads who want to share their common belief that dads are not inept, lazy, or bad at parenting. Challenges are met and tackled every single day by dads everywhere, and these are a few of ours that perhaps other parents can learn a few things from, while having some fun along the way.
